Why Slippery Joy? To embrace Slippery Joy is to respect and honor our sorrows while recognizing that poignant beauty coexists with grief. These times are a challenge to hold on to joy, community, healing. So we gather together to remind one another of our interconnectedness and the beauty that surrounds us. We will gather Friday for dinner and an activity to settle us in the theme of our time together. Saturday will be spent largely in silence, with an invitation to be out in nature on the beautiful grounds (although we will have some creative options and a fireplace inside!) with a hands on healing ceremony in the evening. Sunday we will gather to share what we will take into the winter with us to guide us through the darkest days!
Each participant will have their own room in our lakeside building.
We will share meal times and clean up as community.
